Tegendraads
At the age of just fourteen, Thijs van Buuren sat down behind his mother’s sewing machine to make patches for his school bag. He was sure he could do better than the ones he had seen in the shops. He subsequently taught himself how to embroider on a machine and set up his own label in 2008, called Tegendraads.

With her studio, she has created and designed clothing concepts for the staff of Depot Boijmans van Beuningen, Stadsschouwburg Utrecht, Naturalis Biodiversity Centre Leiden and Het Oogziekenhuis Rotterdam, among others.

Studio AnoukxVera
Studio AnoukxVera consists of designers Anouk van de Sande and Vera de Pont. As a designer, Anouk van de Sande stands for expressive stories in print design for fashion and interior. She focuses on using optical effects through layering, colour, shape and material design. Vera de Pont is a design researcher with an interest in on-demand fashion items and production, based on her vision to prevent waste material right from the start of the production line.

Marlou Verheijden
Marlou Verheijden graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academie in 2009, with a specialisation in fashion. She followed an internship at Hui-hui in Antwerp and at Henrik Vibskov in Copenhagen. During her Bachelor programme she followed a seamstress evening course at the Rotterdamse Snijschool. She launched her label Marlou Verheijden one year after graduation.
