Makerslab Flash Day during Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week 2026
This year, De Wasserij and Makerslab are taking part in Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week Rotterdam for the third time. On Sunday 11 October, we open our doors for the Makerslab Flash Day. Join us for an interactive afternoon focused on upcycling, sustainable fashion and creative techniques.
Give your clothes a second life
At the Makerslab Flash Day, doing is at the heart of the programme. In the Upcycle Car Wash, you can discover different techniques in an accessible and hands-on way. Learn how to repair, customise and give your clothes a new life.
From simple repairs and hand stitching to customisation and other creative textile techniques. Discover how small changes can turn something you already own into something new.
There will also be several Flash Sessions. These sessions give you the chance to explore specific techniques in more depth. Makers will share their knowledge and show how different materials and processes can be used in sustainable fashion and textiles.
Discover, make and connect
The Makerslab Flash Day is for anyone curious about upcycling, sustainable fashion and making things yourself. Bring a piece of clothing you would like to customise. Give an old favourite a second life, or simply come by to discover new techniques and meet makers.
There will also be space to discover Makerslab and the community of makers at De Wasserij. During this third edition, we are building on previous DSFW editions. This year, the focus is even more on techniques, knowledge sharing and actively involving visitors.
Ticket sales have now started. With an Early Bird ticket, you receive a free Upcycle Starter Kit. You also receive three free stamps on your Makerslab Stamp Card. These allow you to take part in activities during the event.
