Dora Varga looks at the world with the sophisticated eye of a designer. She is engaged in making social and commercial issues around sustainability more alert and easier to understand. In the past years, Dora developed a keen interest in long-term data research and in local textiles and techniques such as hand-weaving. By reacting on these subjects in an analytical way, and by translating her research using elegant and delicate choices, Dora applies them in editorial design, branding, video, exhibitions and installations.
Currently Dora is working together with Natasja Bökkerink, exploring the relationships between consumerism, sustainability and productivity through (hand)knitting and weaving.
