Tiemen Visser is a textile-process specialist, teacher, and maker. He holds a Bachelors in Textile from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and is fascinated by developing a wide range of techniques that explore the possibilities of textile. He is currently the Textile Workshop manager at Bouwkeet, a social-makerspace in Rotterdam West, and has worked for the last year with BlueCity Lab on a circular-textile research project.
In his role as workshop manager at De Wasserij, he hopes that his technical expertise and love of creative problem solving act as a spring-board for makers to further develop their vision. Creating an atmosphere that fosters community through the workshop is the thing he’s most passionate about.
