Ilfa is a freelance fashion designer with a focus on environment and innovation. In her studio she creates designs in fashion, product and biodesign with a strong focus on future design thinking. She studied fashion design at the Willem the Kooning Academy in Rotterdam with a minor in Social Sustainability. During her study the ambition for biodesign and creating and growing her own materials started.
She developed a toolbox that allowed other creative minds to have their own portable bacteria dyeing-lab. She is driven by curiosity for the potential of the materials and resources she is working with and envisions how it can be used in a better or alternative way.
Ilfa is open for collaborations in different fields of work and she can help companies develop more circulair processes, new design strategies, concept & product development.
